 How do I create a Gift Certificate?
Solution

First we need to go to the Gift Certificate module in your store.

1. Log-in to your stores Administration Area.
2. Click on the Stores Arrow
3. Click on the Arrow next to your store name
4. Click on Order Fulfillment Configuration.
5. Click on Gift Certificate Manager.




Generating Certificate Keys

You can manually generate a valid key for any of your certificate templates. Your template are for each of the denominations that you sell.

1. In the certificate listing, click the certificate for which you want to generate a key by clicking on either the code or by selecting the edit button .




2. Click the Generate Key link.




You will now see a new key on the screen.






Editing Certificate Keys and Sending the Gift Certificate via email

Tip:You can alter the current value of any gift certificate key. You might do this if the customer has returned an item, or if you need to decrement an amount due to a phone purchase. You can also alter the expiration date and other options for a specific key.

To Edit the Gift Certificate Key Click on the Key.



You will now see all the options available on the Gift Certificate:

1. In the Recipient field we want to put the name of the person giving the Gift Certificate
2. In the Recipient email field we want to put the email address of the person who will be receiving the Gift Certificate via email
3. Next we will send the gift Certificate to the Recipient by selecting Send Email?
4. If you have a message for the Recipient you can enter a note to be included with the Gift Certificate by entering the message in the Note field.
5. Select Update




After you select Update The red NO will change to a green Yes. This lets you know that the Gift Certificate has been sent.







This is the Gift Certificate that the recipient will receive via email
